Common Core, Environmentalists & Population Control...

In the old testament, the people worshipped the Sun. Today, we worship the earth. Earth worship is becoming more and more part of school curriculum. I would say that a full third of my child's geography class talked about the harm that human beings cause the environment. Questions like, "how do people harm the planet by using natural resources?" Environmental science has overtaken science courses. And, even the Boy Scouts now have introduced badges in "Environmental Science" and "Sustainability".

This attitude isn't new. We are warned about it in the Old Testament.

Baal

A male sun-god worshiped principally in Phoenicia (1 Kgs. 16:31) but also worshiped in different ways in various places: by the Moabites as Baal-peor (Num. 25:1–3), at Shechem as Baal

We have met the enemy and he is us. ~Walt Kelly
I believe in God, only I spell it nature. ~Frank Lloyd Wright

Jeremiah 19

The Lord will bring evil upon Judah—They sacrifice their children to Baal—In the siege they will eat the flesh of their sons and daughters.

Childbearing should be a punishable crime against society, unless the parents hold a government license... All potential parents should be require to use contraceptive chemicals, the government issuing antidotes to citizens chosen for childbearing. ~David Brower, the first executive director of The Sierra Club

Human babies are not born self-aware or capable of grasping their lives over time. They are not persons. Hence their lives would seem to be no more worth of protection that the life of a fetus. ~Peter Singer from Rethinking Life and Death  Peter Singer Professor of Bioethics Princeton University

Judges 2

...future events, a new generation arises that forsakes the Lord and serves Baal and Ashtaroth—The Lord is angry with the children of Israel and ceases to preserve them—He raises up judges to guide...

It has been concluded that compulsory population-control laws, even inducing laws requiring compulsory abortion, could be sustained under the existing constitution if the population crisis becomes sufficiently severe to endanger society... If some individuals contribute to general social deterioration by overproducing children, and if the need is compelling, they can be required by law to exercise reproductive responsibility. from the book Ecoscience by Ehrlich & Holdren. John Holdren was appointed "science czar" by Barack Obama in 2009

Psalms 106:
36 And they served their aidols: which were a snare unto them.
37 Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils,
38 And shed innocent ablood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the bidols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood.

More than 42 Million children are killed every year in the womb worldwide. But that isn't enough for environmentalists like Bill Gates, whose foundation funds so much of Common Core and who wants to lower the current population numbers by 10-15% HERE.

James E. Faust The Sanctity of Life

 Moses 7:33 And unto thy brethren have I said, and also given commandment, that they should alove one another, and that they should choose me, their Father; but behold, they are without affection, and they bhate their own blood;

During his graduate studies, my husband had a professor with a large family. One day he boarded a train in a large American city with children in tow.  An angry woman on the train asked, "How can you have such a large family on an over-crowded planted with limited resources?" My husband's professor responded, "We teach our children to contribute more than they consume."

I have nothing against conservation. I am not a hyper consumer. I believe in the old adage, "use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without." But, people need to understand the vast difference between conservation and environmentalism and how environmental principles have crept into our schools which are not only preaching idol worship, but war against life. We need to take a stand.
